PLEIN AIR SHORT TRIP to Rockaway Beach, Oregon October 24-25, 2009 WOW! Here is a great package deal that combines tuition and lodging for this two day get away to the beautiful stretch of beach south of Cannon Beach on Hwy 101 in Oregon. SurfSide Resort in Rockaway Beach will be our home away from home. Our rooms will be Oceanfront with siding doors that open to a balcony for a fantastic view of the ocean and lovely uncrowded beach. Each room has two queen size beds, gas fireplace and a kitchenette. Our rooms are reserved for two nights, Friday and Saturday. If you want to stay an extra night that can be arranged. Plans are to drive down Friday night, get settled in for the night. Maybe take a late evening stroll on the beach or roast marshmallows by the a fire. Be ready to paint by 9:00am Saturday morning. We will have time to paint and prowl the beach and paint some more. Our time table can be flexible depending on the weather and our heart's desires! I suggest bringing sandwich fixins for lunch Saturday. There are nice dining establishments in the area for the evening meal or you can prepare your own in your room. Sunday we will paint from 9:00 am until +/- 2:00pm with a break for the 11:00 deadline for checking out. Cost is $330 each for two nights (Fri-Sat) / two days based on double occupancy (meals not included) (Single Occupancy $430 or w/spouse / non painting companion) (meals not included) (Rates for extra week nights are approx $105/room/night + tax) Hurry!
